Autism Diagnostic Assessment

It can be daunting to reach out for Autism Diagnostic Assessment, and we understand that so we're here to help. More that 1 in 100 people have Autism. This can affect people in different ways and can highlight strengths but also some challenges.

Before we provide any assessment we believe an initial consultation is required and from this we will discuss whether an Autism Spectrum Diagnostic assessment is required. We are an ethical assessment service so we will only provide an assessment if we feel there is a need.

Our Autism Diagnostic Assessments are evidenced based and use internationally recognised assessment tools. At Cognition we use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Version II (ADOS-II).

We also take a very detailed developmental history and combine this with previous medical and school reports to ensure a complete and robust assessment.

We do not prescribe a time limit for this assessment and we will work with you for as long as it is required to complete. Following the assessment you will receive a fully detailed diagnostic report outlining our findings and conclusions.
